Appointment Policies

Please thoroughly read our policies regarding appointment times, missed appointments, and late arrivals before your child’s first visit.

Age Policies

In our experience of providing dental care for children, we have noticed some general patterns which serve to guide our appointment practices. Firstly, younger children tend to do better with earlier appointments; so we typically schedule children under five in the morning. We schedule older, school-age children for the afternoons (after school). Additionally, we perform longer procedures for children of all ages in the morning. We want your kiddo to have a great experience. Please discuss it with us if you need an exception!

Any child under eighteen years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for any appointment. If something comes up and the parent or guardian can’t make it, please be sure to pre-authorize someone else to accompany the child.

Courtesy Confirmation

There is a lot going on, isn’t there? Carpool and soccer and dinner and everybody’s appointments. We know that, so we’ll send you a friendly reminder including day and time info, using your preferred method—phone, text, or email—prior to your scheduled appointment.

Late Arrivals

We ask our patients to arrive ten minutes before their appointment time in case there’s any paperwork. We also know life happens fast and tardiness happens sometimes! If you arrive 15 minutes or more after your appointment time, we may need to reschedule. We’ll do our best to get you in, but other appointments may prevent that on busier days.

Canceled or Missed Appointments

We ask that if you need to cancel an appointment, you do so with at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled within 24 hours may be subject to a $100 cancellation fee. We reserve the right to opt out of providing future dental care after two such instances.

We determine our course of action based on the individual circumstances surrounding the missed appointment. We realize that sometimes emergencies happen. If you find yourself facing an immediate emergency and are unable to make an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible so that we can work with you to avoid unnecessary fees or termination of care.
